Description of Service
GitHub @Berkeley is Berkeley’s on-premise implementation of GitHub Enterprise, a privately managed version of the public GitHub repository service based on the git protocol and the GitHub service.

Service Owner
GitHub @Berkeley is operated by Data Solutions, Integration Services (DSIS) within the Campus Applications & Data (CAD) department of Berkeley Information Technology (bIT).
Service Level
Github @Berkeley is offered as a self-supported service. DSIS will only provide platform support to ensure the service is up and functioning properly.
Service Hours
DSIS will provide platform support during normal business hours (M-F, 8am-5pm PT, excluding University holidays) to ensure the service is functioning. To alert DSIS of a service reduction or outage, send email to eis-support@berkeley.edu.
Initial Response Time
Service incidents will receive an initial response within 60 minutes during service hours.
Service Avalability
Github @Berkeley is available 24x7 with an estimated 99% uptime.
Scheduled Maintenance
Standard changes to the service are posted on the DSIS website under "Releases". Github @Berkeley may be down briefly during these periods.
Emergency Maintenance
In the event that emergency downtime is necessary for security patching or other critical issues, an email announcement will be made to a bConnected list (consisting of all active users) with details and an estimate of when the service will return to operation.
