          "text": "This project demonstrates the process of recording and editing environmental soundscapes from two different locations including Avebury Henge in the United Kingdom and the BART system between San Francisco International Airport and Oakland. The technical goal was to improve the quality of each recording by reducing unwanted background noises and enhancing important sounds. Overall, learning how different audio editing techniques can be applied depending on the recording environment to create clearer and more focused soundscapes.\n\nThe result, is an amazing record of the human, animal, and other environmental sounds produced in the spaces around us."

          "text": "The assignment here is to add historical data to a contemporary map. The intention is to highlight how that historical information contrasts against our contemporary boundaries in order to better understand our position against the events of the past. Here, we looked at how to think about the historical locations of the Indigenous communities in what is now California against the invading Spanish missionaries and soldiers in order to better see which tribes the Spanish were attempting to colonize."
