2018 UCUES: Results and Summary

UCUES 2018 was administered to all UC Berkeley undergraduate students enrolled in spring semester 2018, excluding students under 18 years of age. From this population of 28,918 enrolled undergraduates, 11,633 (40%) responded to at least one of the items in the first block of questions and 9,944 (34% of those invited) made it through to the end of the survey and submitted it. In addition to the core UCUES items, each student was randomly assigned to one of two topical modules. Those modules were the Academic Experience & Student Engagement module, and the Wild Card module. The Wild Card is a special topics module unique to each UC campus. In 2018, UC Berkeley's Wild Card module focused on undergraduate discovery experiences, as well as the affordability and accessibility of course readings.
